Carriage Hills Baptist Church needed to grow their facilities. However, their existing campus located within the Carriage Hills subdivision was not conducive to the needed growth. Therefore, the church decided to grow by multiplication, leaving a active and viable congregation at the Carriage Hills site and building new facilities at the new DeSoto Hills site which had more room for additional expansion.
After touring the State of Mississippi and visitin many churches with multi-purpose worship spaces, it was decided that a Worship-focused, rather than a sports-focused, multi-purpose space would best-fit their planned ministry focus at their new location.
Also, since simultaneous worship and educational sessions were needed due to budget constraints, a Grand Hall was planned between these two functions so that members could meet and greet one another during transitional times. This helped those in the early service stay in touch with those in the late service and maintain a spirit of unity.
