Facing current and projected growth, especially in their children's department, the Hernando United Methodist Church, wanted to systemmatically plan for their this growth and provide for all the various ministry groups and ages.
Phase 1 originally consisted of classrooms and support spaces for pre-school and children's day-care, choir room and administrative area renovations. Phase 2 originally in-filled an existing courtyard with a fellowship / welcome space and classrooms below and youth activity room above. Phase 3 planned a sanctuary expansion, new choir room and additional adult educational rooms.
As Phase 1 was further developed, it became evident that the Youth Room and related spaces could be incorporated into the 'attic space' of the Phase 1 building for relatively little additional cost. The location of this Phase was also changed from the original Master Plan.
